yamaha banshee production stopped in 2006 due to economic conditions but it continued to be sold in Canada until 2008 and in Australia until 2012 as 2006 models. The Yamaha  engine notably does not have an electric starter or reverse gear but is still popular because it is fun to ride. Future Banshee restoration projects will ensure that at least a few Banshees survive for a very long time. The Banshee 350 is considered a classic sport ATV by collectors.
